Understand the unit being counted

The SGNIC table reports domain registrations across .sg categories. A registration is not a unique company. It does not establish that a website is live, that a business trades in your industry or that someone is competing for the same customer. Avoid relabelling the total as a business count in charts or marketing copy.

Keep the month and source attached

If you use the series, show the observation month and link to SGNIC’s original table. The source notes that figures may be revised. Do not combine a current total with an old label, or present an unsourced number as a live counter. This answer intentionally does not reproduce a total that could become stale.

Use the right evidence for the decision

A domain series can add general market context. Industry demand, competitive positioning and enquiry quality need their own evidence. The AllMeans Market Intelligence service is described separately on the flagship site. The lab does not infer a visitor’s competitors or market size from the .sg total.
